Operating a fully on-site facility in Asbury Park, New Jersey and expanding with a new Southern U.S. site, they provide exceptional opportunities for a skilled Process Engineer to grow in the plastics blow molding industry.
Job Description
The plastics blow molding industry Process Engineer will:
- Lead process development, validation, and continuous improvement for blow molding , injection molding , and assembly operations.
- Monitor and analyze process performance to ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 9001:2015, and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues using root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Develop and optimize molding parameters to improve quality, cycle time, and efficiency in plastics manufacturing .
- Support tooling design and modifications with toolmakers and design engineers.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade molding equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe, reliable operations.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing practices, including 5S, waste reduction, and standardized work.
- Train and mentor production staff on process troubleshooting and best practices.
- Maintain detailed process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
The Successful Applicant
The plastics blow molding industry ideal candidate will:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in blow molding and/or injection molding manufacturing.
- Possess 5+ years of experience in equipment troubleshooting and repair in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate expertise in polymer materials, tooling design, and molding equipment operations.
- Be well-versed in GMP, ISO 9001:2015, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process troubleshooting.
- Show proven leadership in process improvement and corrective action initiatives.
- Have strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Bring proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical process control (SPC) (preferred).
