Our ideal candidate has 2-3 years of dental practice experience in an assisting role, has a current RDA license, and is excellent at customer service, organization, and communication skills. Responsibilities: • Meet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during an appointment • Ensure dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use • Help dentists and dental hygienists during procedures or examinations by providing suction, handing off dental instruments, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team • Get treatment rooms ready for examination and procedures by equipping them with necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials • Evaluate and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patients’ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if needed • Document patient care in records. Keep patient information confidential • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow infection control policies • Maintain dental equipment. Manage supplies inventory • Assist the team as needed. Perform other assigned duties Qualifications: • Active BLS/CPR certification is required • Must possess a current state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) • Exceptional interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are preferred • 3 years of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant • Certification or Associate’s Degree from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required • Computer skills and experience with dental software and updating patient histories is needed • X-ray Certification and Coronal Polishing are required • Eaglesoft program experience preferred but any software knowledge is good • Able to use sound judgment, calm disposition and the ability to work easily with people Compensation: $57,500 - $62,000 yearly
