Estimated starting annual base salary is $101,421.24 - $152,131.86 per year less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, paid based on Company performance factors. The Reliability Engineer supports the monitoring and improvement of the reliability of production and packaging equipment and support systems. This role applies engineering principles to evaluate and maintain assets, systems, or components to ensure they perform to their required function under stated conditions. This position focuses on implementing effective maintenance practices, supporting equipment modifications for improved maintainability, participating in technical investigations, and driving corrective actions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor equipment performance and trends, especially moving/rotating components, and work to implement preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Continuously identify and address recurring equipment issues that impact performance, quality, or compliance.
  • Lead the evaluation and improvement of Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and follow up with implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Contribute to risk management efforts related to asset reliability and production efficiency.
  • Take the lead in performing Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA).
  • Drive reliability-related projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or asset management tools to track and analyze equipment data.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or related engineering field.
  • 2 years' experience in reliability, maintenance, or process engineering.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
  • Ability to perform statistical analysis to determine root causes.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and independent decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing certification.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of FDA Regulations, failure investigation principles and/or statistical principles and analysis.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the manufacturing work environment is usually loud. The Engineering Manager will occasionally work in high, precarious places and outdoor conditions.
