JOB GOAL: To serve students warm, attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Will possess or have ability to obtain certified food service manager certification.
2. Ability to be punctual and meet tight time schedules in reporting to work, preparing foods and serving students.
3. Ability to work well with students and staff.
4. Ability to take directions from the Principal/Food Service Director
5. Possess good health and good hygiene habits.
REPORTS TO: Principal/Food Service Director
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Attends regularly, dresses appropriately, requests approval for time off and reports for work on time
2. Directs and assists all food service personnel in preparation, serving and clean-up of foods and equipment in a quick and pleasant manner.
3. Prepares food on the daily menu in accordance with Health Department standards.
4. Prepares serving station for lunch and presents food in an appealing manner.
5. Assists in preparation, serving and clean-up of foods and equipment in a quick and pleasant manner.
6. Serves all staff and students in a kind, courteous, and polite (never confrontational) manner.
7. Follows the use of the standardized menu and follows portion control guideline.
8. Assists with any extra activities needed to be performed by the Food Service Department.
9. Handles most of product ordering, placing orders weekly with Food Service Director.
10. Keeps accurate count of food portions using completed production records.
11. Directs and assists in the complete breakdown and clean-up at the end of meal service.
12. Directs and assists with cleaning schedule.
13. Insures that someone is checking food purchases and recording meal purchases.
14. Assumes responsibility for proper dating and rotating of food products.
15. Sets up food for the following day, making sure all products are on hand for the menu.
16. Assumes responsibility for weekly timecards.
17. Assumes responsibility for daily refrigeration temperatures.
18. Assumes responsibility for daily edit form accuracy.
19. Coordinates with Principal and Food Service Director on personnel matters.
23. Demonstrates cooperation, courtesy and willingness to improve conditions and situations involving staff and students.
25. Performs other related food service tasks as assigned by the Principal and/or Food Service Director.
Compensation: Based on Plano CUSD 88's Collective Bargaining Agreement.
