Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Process Engineer who will support upstream biotech manufacturing of production processes. The process engineer will be hybrid located in Holly Springs, NC.
Responsibilities for the Senior Process Engineer include:
• Support upstream manufacturing processes from vial thaw through harvest, ending before chromatography.
• Coordinate with maintenance and CQV teams to resolve equipment issues
• Assist with equipment modifications and ensure readiness for PQ and water runs.
• Manage parts ordering and inventory for preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
• Align with manufacturing, CQV, and vendors to execute equipment changes and testing protocols.
• Provide on-the-floor engineering support during initial production runs
• Contribute to the development and refinement of SOPs and operational procedures.
Requirements for the Senior Process Engineer include:
• Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• Strong coordination and troubleshooting skills across engineering and maintenance teams.
• Familiarity with PQ protocols, water runs, and equipment verification.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and align cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with large-scale equipment.
Compensation for the Senior Process Engineer includes:
• Salary range: $150,000 - $180,000
