Position information
The Datalogic Strategic Account Manager, Strategic Alliances (SAM) maintains and expands relationships with strategically important, large customers. Home-office based (anywhere in the USA near a major airport), with the ability to travel up 60% of the time.
Role mission
The Strategic Account Manager, Strategic Alliances Manager will work to penetrate and grow with select End Users or Systems Integrators serving Tier 1 and Tier 2 Retail or Logistics customers to both introduce the Datalogic brand and establish executive level relationships to ultimately sell all Datalogic products and solutions throughout the organization. The SAM will ensure that the correct products and services are being positioned correctly to deliver value beyond the competition. This person will have existing relationships with the target company or companies.
Key Responsibilities
• Achieves assigned sales quota in designated strategic accounts.
• Have existing relationships with the named account
• Establishes productive, professional relationships with key executive personnel in assigned customer accounts.
• Develops annual business plans with assigned partners and conduct quarterly business reviews to ensure execution to plan.
• Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers' expectations.
• Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
• Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
• Daily management of the corporate CRM system for the management of accounts, opportunities and business development initiatives.
• Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis. • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
• Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
• Execution of strategic or tactical objectives that are assigned as part of the global or regional business objectives.

Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (BA/BS) in business, economics, marketing, or other related degree from an accredited University. Advanced degree or MBA preferre
- Fluent English; written and verbal communication
- Demonstrates an executive presence with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with executive level leaders internally and externally.
- Strong personal identification with Datalogic's culture and values.
- Individual should have experience in some or all of the following areas: barcode scanning, mobile computing, wireless technology (Wi-Fi, WLAN, Bluetooth), industrial automation.
- Proven experience working in the Retail Industry with both top Tier End Users and Partners.
- Experience in target accounts with material handling is preferred (logistics automation)
- Previous experience with Retail Systems Integrators or Full Solution Providers preferred.
