Description Location: UCHealth UCHlth Leprino Building AMC, US:CO:Aurora Department: Clinical Education FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: Develops and provides education to Sterile Processing staff to facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Responsibilities:
Collaborates with managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff. Designs, delivers, and assesses learning activities and curricula related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies. Serves as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development. Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff orientation and education activities. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: This role supports Sterile Processing departments with travel to our Metro Region facilities required . Experience and knowledge in Sterile Processing and Surgical Technology required. CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician) through CBSPD within 1 year.

- High School diploma or GED; Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program or Associates Degree or Military trained.
- State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration (DORA);
- Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
- 2 years of Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) experience and 6 months of UCHealth CST experience.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
