We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our culinary team and contribute to our well-established pastry program. This culinary professional will be responsible for participating in the transformation of high-quality ingredients into delicious pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
The Pastry Cook will work closely with the Lead Pastry Cook and Chef di Cuisine, supporting daily pastry production while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This role ensures consistency, quality, and presentation of all desserts, baked goods, and specialty pastry items across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day pastry production alongside pastry teams
- Assist with daily bake-off and production of pastry offerings and other Italian desserts
- Help ensure availability, consistency, and quality across all pastry items, including gelato and sorbet
- Assist with pastry production for special event needs and holiday menus
- Support additional production necessary for ongoing catering requirements
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation in accordance with established recipes and standards
- 1-2+ years of pastry experience in a professional kitchen, hotel, resort, or high-volume catering environment preferred
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to an already strong pastry program
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand for long periods Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
