Title: Accounts Payable Coordinator

Location: Wood Dale, IL

Sterling Engineering is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist experienced in high-volume invoice processing and 3-way matching . This is a stable, full-time role perfect for someone ready to grow, replacing a team member who advanced from admin to AP.

Job Duties:

Process and enter approximately 300+ invoices weekly using a green screen accounting system (training provided).

Perform detailed and timely 3-way matches ensuring invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips align before payment.

Complete weekly check runs and process manual checks as needed.

Update Excel-based reports and debt memosbasic Excel skills are sufficient.

Resolve vendor discrepancies and manage returns promptly and diplomatically.

Reconcile vendor statements and code non-PO invoices.

Process employee expense reports.

Reconcile general ledger inventory purchases against receiving documents.

Apply cash receipts and provide various administrative accounting support tasks, including filing and system updates.

Qualifications:

12+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a smaller manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume invoice workloads with accuracy.

Proven 3-way matching skills with strong attention to detail.

Comfortable working with green screen systems and paper-based processes (training provided).

Basic Excel proficiencyable to update and maintain existing spreadsheets.
