We are seeking an experienced Applications Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux Shell scripting, IBM DataStage, and SQL Server. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide application deployments, mentor junior developers, and participate in code reviews. The position requires a proactive, self-motivated, and organized individual with a strong team orientation. Key Responsibilities: Linux Shell Scripting & IBM DataStage: Develop, maintain, and optimize applications using Linux Shell scripting and IBM DataStage. SQL Server Development: Work with SQL Server to build, deploy, and troubleshoot database applications. Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams to design, implement, and deploy applications. Deployment Guidance: Guide application deployment activities and ensure successful rollouts. Mentoring: Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support on technical tasks and best practices. Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. Teamwork: Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment. Communication: Maintain clear communication with both onshore and offshore teams to ensure project success. Required Qualifications: Experience: At least 5+ years of applications development experience. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Linux Shell scripting, IBM DataStage, and SQL Server. Team Orientation: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor junior developers. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Offshore/Onsite Experience: Must have worked in an Onsite-Offshore development environment. Preferred Qualifications: Database Expertise: Experience with additional databases beyond SQL Server would be a plus. Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable. Additional Tools: Experience with other tools like DataStage connectors or ETL tools would be advantageous.
