St. Louis County Government's Department of Information Technology seeks to hire a Network Analyst . This individual will support IT network, telephony, security directives, and other applicable laws and regulations by addressing complex issues. Addressing complex issues distinguishes this job class from IT37-Associate Security / Network Analyst. The starting salary range for this position is between $33.17 - $39.80 hourly, depending on qualifications and budget considerations. For more information, visit: Public Service Loan Forgiveness | Federal Student Aid . Perform identification, remediation, and documentation of network systems. Perform detailed analysis of computer network systems to determine impacts and assist in remediation. Research and monitor networking resources to improve communication within the County. Support implementation and design of network infrastructure, including telephony. Monitor/manage networks, support incidents, and perform real-time support. Evaluate gaps and identify solutions to mitigate risks. Build relationships with internal teams, external agencies, vendors, and partners. Collaborate to develop and implement network strategies. Assist in deploying and supporting network systems with vendors and users. Maintain knowledge of best practices and trends in network security and analysis. Automate reporting and documentation tasks. Document network resources across the County. Provide excellent customer service and follow-up. Perform other duties as assigned. Equivalent to an Associate's Degree in IT. At least two years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include: CompTIA Security+ certification and Cisco CCNA certification. Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center. Experience with routers, switches, IP, command line, and network connections. SELECTION AND APPOINTMENT: A committee evaluates applicants based on education, experience, interview performance, references, and other factors. Only the most qualified candidates are interviewed, with a passing grade of 70 or above required. Final candidates are certified to the Department Director for decision.
