Advanced Practice Provider, Surgical Intensive Care Unit Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH, is seeking an experienced advanced practice provider (APRN or PA) to join the
Surgical Intensive Care Unit . The APP will be dedicated to inpatient care in a unit comprising trauma, general surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, and other surgical sub-specialties. The APP will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, physical therapists, and other specialists. This role offers a high degree of autonomy in managing patients. In conjunction with attending physicians, the APP will supervise a team that may include medical residents, students, and other APPs. The APP will be trained to independently perform invasive procedures such as intubation, bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, central line placement, and arterial line placement, and will supervise staff performing these procedures. The role involves collaboration with surgical residents and critical care fellows, and requires excellent communication skills. Opportunities include didactic education, quality improvement projects, journal clubs, and research projects.
Experience in Critical Care is required; completion of a Critical Care residency is preferred. This is a
full-time, salaried, benefited
position with rotating day and night shifts, including weekends. A faculty appointment at the level of Instructor through
Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth

Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA academic program National specialty certification as an Acute Care ANP, PNP, NNP, or certification through NCCPA Required Licensure/Certifications
Eligible for RN licensure in NH (for APRNs) Eligible for APRN or PA licensure in NH Eligible for Federal DEA Registration BLS certification ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP as appropriate
