Position Overview HDR Engineering seeks multiple Transmission Line Engineering Managers to join our Power Delivery team. You will leverage your technical expertise in high-voltage transmission line design and construction to lead projects, guide teams, and advise clients. You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure technical excellence in project execution. Key Responsibilities Manage and execute engineering and design components of transmission projects in coordination with the Project Manager. Develop and implement project technical execution plans. Mentor and supervise Project Engineers, EITs, Designers, CADD technicians, and staff. Support scope, schedule, and budget management, including proposals, work breakdowns, risk assessments, and schedule control. Lead QA/QC processes to ensure quality standards are met. Perform project reviews and quality checks. Lead multiple projects simultaneously, often across different locations. Collaborate with senior engineers to develop technical expertise and participate in industry presentations and papers. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural considered). At least 10 years of design experience managing civil/site projects. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MicroStation, InRoads, and relevant civil engineering software. Experience in project engineering and management. Strong communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with distribution line design and steel lattice tower modeling. Experience working with diverse teams and renewable energy projects. 8+ years in transmission line engineering within the electric utility or renewables industry. Proficiency in PLS-CADD, transmission structure analysis/design, foundation design, and construction support.
