Role Description: Arcadis is actively building a talent pipeline of experienced Structural Engineers to join our Resilience Water team. This forward-looking opportunity reflects our ongoing commitment to addressing the challenges of climate change, urbanization, and environmental sustainability in the water sector.

Role Accountabilities: As a Structural Engineer in the Resilience Water team, you will play a key role in designing and implementing structural solutions for a wide range of infrastructure projects. These may include upgrades to water and wastewater treatment facilities, shoreline stabilization efforts, stormwater management systems, and resilient distribution/collection infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and evaluate structural design alternatives based on site conditions, project requirements, and regulatory constraints. Conduct structural assessments and perform engineering analyses to inform project planning and development. Prepare technical deliverables, including engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce innovative and sustainable designs in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Support project management by monitoring budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution. Participate in site visits, client meetings, and other project-related travel, as necessary. Key Skills & Experience: Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, and Revit is required. A thorough understanding of relevant codes and standards like IBC and ACI guidelines is essential. Ability to prepare and review engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and estimates, is expected. Strong communication skills and team collaboration are key, along with a passion for sustainability and innovative design solutions.
Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field 5 years of structural engineering experience supporting water/wastewater infrastructure projects Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline EIT certification or PE license strongly preferred Arcadis is committed to building a talent pipeline to address future challenges in water resilience and sustainability.
