$95,000-130,000 + profit sharing Position Objective: As Manufacturing Manager at Wagner Spray Tech, you will be accountable for the assembly, machining, and supporting manufacturing areas, and have overall accountability for safety, quality, on-time delivery, efficiency, and cost. Incumbent will drive organizational change through direction and management of cross-functional teams and oversee multiple areas and multiple shifts. Ensures a safe work environment and product quality standards are maintained, while being accountable for business results for the team while driving towards World Class Operations. Job Duties/Responsibilities Leads and manages team while ensuring accountability to organizational values, policies, and procedures. Provides regular performance evaluations, provides constructive feedback, and implements development plans for employees. Coaches, mentors, and develops team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Responsible for overseeing the tier management process and execution. Capacity planning to ensure production resources are aligned to customer requirements. Taking aggressive actions to promote our safety and continuous improvement culture demonstrated by eliminating safety hazards and waste in the work areas. Ensuring effective operation of assigned value streams to meet production schedules in a safe, cost-effective, quality, high-velocity manner. Utilizing resources, including people, material, and equipment, to achieve safety, cost, quality, and inventory management targets. Responsible for Daily/Weekly/Monthly performance. Determine/deploy actions required to maintain and improve safety, quality, velocity, and efficiency in work areas – utilizing lean manufacturing methodologies and processes. Performs ongoing evaluation of workloads and assists Supervisors, Leads, production and cross-functional teams in problem-solving. Initiates and conducts process improvement dialogs with Supervisors, Leads, and Team Members. Develops detailed near-term and long-term production plans (labor staffing, line configurations, line balancing, etc.). Develop KPIs and manage outcomes – create plans for underperforming KPIs. Provides operational data and insights to support SIOP planning ensuring accurate forecasting and alignment. Partner with NPD team in successfully transitioning new product programs into production. Understands and communicates business/financial information related to operations. Develops and adheres to a budget for the responsible areas. Drives root cause analysis and resolution on all forms of loss, i.e., safety, quality, production. Promoting engagement, learning, and professional development for direct reports and their teams. Developing and deploying training of resources on work processes. This includes owning the cross-training matrix and staffing plans across all production lines. Developing and setting goals to assist direct reports and meet goals. Additional duties as delegated or assigned. Required Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing/engineering related discipline OR equivalent years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 8+ years of manufacturing and assembly production technical job-related experience. 5+ years of supervisory or people management experience. Business management skills, knowledge of lean processes and tools, and strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes. Full experience with an ERP. Demonstrated ability to drive results through visual, metric-oriented management. Experience managing multiple New Product Introductions. Proven track record of innovation, ingenuity, creativity, attention to detail, ownership, integrity, accountability, and willingness to seek and take on challenges is required. General IT knowledge (Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, email, and internet). Preferred Qualifications Supply Chain experience. SAP experience is highly preferred. Prior SIOP experience. Supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment. Required Interpersonal & Behavioral Skills: Emotional Intelligence: Influences others, listens openly and sends convincing messages; negotiates and resolves disagreements, is cooperative and collaborative. Ability to do and teach problem-solving along with execution. Ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment. Willingness to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environment. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining a customer service orientation. Ability to influence others and drive continuous improvement without direct report control. Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.
