Area Managers
for our Chemical Technologies group in
Midland, Texas . If you are a passionate sales leader with a proven track record of success in technical sales, we invite you to apply. You will be primarily responsible for revenue and profit growth of ChampionX chemical programs and services in targeted accounts within the Oil and Gas industries. You will be required to take a consultative sales approach with a primary emphasis on strong account leadership skills and retention of strategic ChampionX accounts. You will provide coaching and leadership to a team and anticipate customer needs based on knowledge of operations. Access to best-in-class resources, tools, and technology Opportunity for a long-term, advanced career path A culture that values safety first, including training and personal protection What You Will Do: Work closely with current and new customers to understand business needs and recommend improvement and innovation plans to maintain and grow sales within your territory Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in customer organizations, including plant or facility executives Leverage your network to pursue new business opportunities within your territory Generate and execute sales plans to meet profit goals Conduct regular health checks (audits) of current accounts Participate actively in district, regional, and corporate initiatives Collaborate on cross-functional projects, promoting knowledge transfer and innovative processes Support and lead trials of new technologies, bringing ideas and innovations to your district Lead sales campaigns and call on all levels of customer organizations Coach and mentor less experienced sales team members Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 55 pounds/25 kg chest high This role is safety-sensitive and may be subject to drug testing Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree At least 4 years of successful technical or field sales management experience Ability to travel within the territory regularly 25% travel across the US for training and initiatives Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record No immigration sponsorship available (US only) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's in Engineering or Life Sciences 5-7 years of relevant sales or management experience Experience in oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, or water treatment industries Knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, wastewater systems High computer literacy and ability to learn internal systems Strong communication, organizational skills, and self-motivation Account leadership experience with multilevel management About ChampionX: ChampionX is a global leader providing chemistry programs, drilling technology, artificial lift solutions, and automation for the oil and gas industry.
