Responsible for evaluating loan requests typically between $10 million and $20 million, assessing appropriate structure and use of funds. Provide independent analysis of credit quality for complex loan relationships, focusing on middle market, upper middle market, syndications, shared national credits, land acquisition and development loans, REITs, Asset Based Lending, and other specialized lending. Review credit requests for compliance with policies and regulations, prepare detailed credit approval documents, assign risk ratings, and mentor junior analysts. Conduct reviews and training on specialized products, and manage credit teams in the absence of managers. Job Duties:
Determine whether submitted information meets bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Interpret and review loan documentation, agreements, leases, and contracts. Assess loan terms, transaction sources, and uses for complex requests, recommending improvements as needed. Conduct background checks and credit inquiries to prevent fraud. Analyze higher-risk and specialized industries such as REITs, ABL, energy, healthcare, and municipalities. Use advanced financial analysis techniques to evaluate borrower's ability to repay and compare performance to industry standards. Resolve complex financial issues, adjust financial figures, and follow through with calculations. Recommend financial covenant structures for large transactions. Identify major credit issues and document strengths and weaknesses. Prepare comprehensive underwriting documents for approval, defending assumptions and ratings. Occasionally accompany officers on client calls to gather information. Guide and train credit analysts, especially on specialized products. Manage credit team in the absence of managers and undertake special projects. Perform annual due diligence on banks involved in syndications and ad hoc analyses. Physical Demands:
Operate office equipment and devices; sit for 7 hours daily; lift weights up to 40 pounds; perform typing and data entry; specific vision requirements for computer work. Accommodations available for disabilities. Education:
Four-year college degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or economics, with at least six hours in accounting. Experience:
