will report to a

This role will also serve as the interface with customers and R&D teams, assisting in responding to specific project requests. The role involves developing new flavors/ingredients, methodologies, and contributing to business development activities in beverage flavor applications. Primary Responsibilities: Leading flavor applications and prototype development in healthcare & confectionery products, providing excellent flavor support for industrial customers. Facilitating complex projects, including planning, leading cross-functional teams, defining requirements, and designing experiments. Building expertise within healthcare & confectionery flavor applications. Managing projects: planning, leading teams, defining requirements, designing, and managing experiments. Investigating and assessing new ingredients and technologies. Providing internal expert support on projects, working with consultants and vendors. Supporting product commercialization and troubleshooting manufacturing issues. Offering technical support for formulations to operations and quality teams. Communicating project status with customers and commercial teams. Supervising and instructing junior staff. Required Qualifications: BSc in Food Science/Technology, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or related field. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the food and/or flavor industry, including: At least 3 years of healthcare or confectionery flavor applications in a flavor house OR At least 3 years of healthcare or confections product development within a consumer products company. Strong experience with healthcare and/or confectionery flavor delivery systems, ingredients, and flavors. Excellent communication skills. Ability to interpret data and solve complex problems with incomplete information. Ability to manage risk and make critical decisions. Project management skills and ability to influence and negotiate across the organization. Ability to make technical presentations. In-depth understanding of ingredients, technology, and their impact on taste and functionality. Knowledge of food ingredients, manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and regulations. Proficiency in product development and commercialization across various application categories.
