This Lead Project Engineer works directly with the Project Team to support various aspects of oil/gas-related projects, typically pipeline. Summary
Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for pipeline projects in collaboration with the Project Team. Duties And Responsibilities
Manage project engineering and related personnel functions, including personnel planning, work assignments, and disciplinary actions. Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements, supporting the construction schedule (Primavera P6). Provide technical support for construction, including planning, design interpretation, construction methods, resolving design conflicts, and contract reviews. Develop and administer project engineering procedures, submittals, RFIs, expedite materials, and manage payments to subcontractors/vendors and owner requests. Represent the company during meetings with A/E, clients, and project management. Coordinate with on-site departments to resolve issues and ensure quality and schedule adherence. Oversee pre-construction services, business development, and risk analysis related to project costs, safety, and client relationships. Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor. Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred, or equivalent technical training and experience. Minimum of 5+ years of relevant construction engineering experience. Proficiency with MS Excel and ability to learn new software. Hands-on experience in construction preferred, such as field work as laborer, operator, or engineer. Skills And Abilities
Strong knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with team management capabilities. Understanding of safety laws and company policies. Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, and standards is preferred. Benefits
