About The Job
Coeur Rochester based near Lovelock, Nevada is seeking an experienced
Electrical Supervisor
to join our team at the Rochester Mine. Reporting to the Electrical General Foreman, the Electrical Supervisor will coordinate activities of the Electrical Department engaging in maintenance and repair of electric power, lighting, controls, and communication systems of fixed and mobile assets at the Rochester Mine.
Responsibilities
Ensure a well-functioning Preventative Maintenance program of the electrical and control systems that drives improving reliability based on the criticality of the equipment. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Be responsive to emergency and/or unplanned high priority repairs, and communicate and coordinate responses and plans with both crusher and process production personnel. Inspects electrical installations for conformance to company specifications and electrical codes. Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Maintains time and production records. Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and fuse boxes. Assist with the coordination of selecting of external contractors and vendors and aid in ensuring contract compliance and meeting established timelines for completion. Actively assist in timely follow-up regarding problem areas. Performs activities of workers supervised.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology program required or equivalent years in position Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred Approximately 5-7 years of experience in an industrial electrical (management and technical) role in a maintenance facility At least 5 years’ experience supervising other electricians required Must be current with latest industry regulations and codes relative to electrical systems design and operation; and Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP). Experience with CMMS systems, such as SAP, JD Edwards or Oracle, and tracking of best practice maintenance activities. Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and standards is required. Demonstrate strategic thinking skill; able to develop and execute long term plans required. Proven oral and written communication and presentation skills Strong computer skills, including the programs of Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Must establish relationships and address conflict through appropriate resolution skills and techniques. Must have full complement of supervisory skills, including project scoping and estimating utilizing work breakdown structures, cost and schedule control, design and construction management, team building, resource planning, procurement, permitting. Must consistently maintain and demonstrate a high regard for environmental compliance, personal safety, as well as the safety of company assets, and employees.
