You will manage complex primary and excess general liability and automobile claims, both litigated and non-litigated. Responsibilities include investigation, coverage determination, reserving, negotiation, and settlement or trial strategies. The position requires some travel and coordination with internal and external partners, representing the company at meetings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials. Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service to insureds, brokers, and TPA in casualty claim adjustments. Analyze coverage and communicate positions clearly. Coordinate investigations into loss facts and damages. Manage defense counsel and defense team activities. Assess coverage, liability, and damages to determine exposure. Set reserves or recommend reserve changes. Report to reinsurers and facilitate reinsurance collection. Travel to conferences, mediations, and trials, approximately 10-15%, possibly more. Qualifications: 2-7+ years of claims experience handling high exposure claims, including litigation management. Experience with Automobile and General Liability (GL), including Products, Premises Liability, Oil/Gas, Energy, and Trucking. Strong background in coverage matters and legal principles. Knowledge of industry practices and procedures. Ability to work independently and learn from diverse sources. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
