Quality Manager with NDT Level II (PT)
to join our team. This position presents a unique opportunity to impact quality assurance processes and drive improvements in our non-destructive testing (NDT) operations.
We also welcome experienced Quality Managers or NDT Level II certified professionals ready to transition into a Quality Manager role. This position offers the opportunity to pursue NDT Level III certification with company support.
Position Overview:
The
Quality Manager
will be responsible for overseeing and managing all quality-related activities within Onyx Specialty Processing, with a specific focus on NDT processes, particularly Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (PT). The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards, implement quality control measures, and develop training programs to foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures in line with industry standards and applicable regulations Oversee NDT operations and ensure proper application of testing methods, particularly PT, in compliance with NAS410 and Nadcap standards Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance process efficiency and ensure product reliability Provide training and mentorship to staff on quality management practices and NDT procedures Compile and analyze quality data, prepare reports, and present findings to management Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, regulatory changes, and best practices in quality management
Requirements
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED** Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, with a focus on non-destructive testing Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field preferred Level II NDT certification in Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (PT) is strongly preferred Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.) and NDT standards (NAS410, Nadcap) Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization Experience in conducting internal audits and training staff in quality practices Proficiency with quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite US Citizenship is required due to government regulations
