Job Title: Sr. Formworks OCR (Optical Character Recognition) Software Engineer Location: Hybrid near Alpharetta, GA, Rancho Cordova, CA or Oakland, CA. Onsite from Day 1. Need local candidates. The Senior Software Engineer will help enhance and support the Formworks application. Responsibilities include designing, building, delivering, and maintaining scalable functionalities in the Formworks application, collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX designers, architects, principal engineers, software engineers, test automation, and DevOps teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, configure, and support products that provide innovative solutions to business challenges.
Lead architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities, often requiring independent research.
Develop high-quality, scalable, secure, and maintainable software using best practices.
Write comprehensive technical documentation and promote a culture of documentation.
Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor engineers.
Collaborate with various teams to define and prioritize requirements.
Assess the impact of hardware/software upgrades and support engineering projects.
Maintain knowledge of current policies, procedures, and industry trends.
Required Skills:
Experience with OCR technologies such as FIS FormWorks, Mavro, OPEX, Impira, etc.
Experience with Azure AI Document Intelligence / Form Recognizer.
Experience in training and developing custom AI models for document processing.
Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and GIT for AI model deployment.
Understanding of OCR, NLP, and document classification techniques.
Proficiency in Azure API Management (APIM) and API integration.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 7 years experience in designing and developing high-performance, secure applications.
Expertise in OCR editor configuration and batch support.
Knowledge of 834 EDI file formats.
Strong understanding of current industry trends and best practices.
Ability to lead innovative solutions and mentor teams.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and vendor relationship management.
