As a Construction Engineer, you’ll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning engineering, construction management, and design-build project delivery. We are seeking a passionate Construction Engineer in the Milwaukee or Madison Wisconsin area who values collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status quo. Your responsibilities may include:
Being the Project Lead or Assistant Project Lead on WisDOT projects.
Documenting contractor progress and quantities completed.
Performing daily inspections to verify contractor work aligns with contract documents.
Preparing daily construction reports with details on workforce, equipment, activities, site visitors, and progress photos.
Reviewing contract plans, specifications, submittals, and material information.
Reporting and documenting any field conditions deviating from the contract.
Using contract documents to monitor and document construction activities.
You will be part of a project team, surrounded by mentorship to help you thrive and grow in your career. Effective communication and organized documentation will be key in supporting project success.
Qualifications
Substantial professional experience in roadway/highway, bridge, or general civil construction projects.
Experience with WisDOT construction projects.
Ability to drive to project locations in SE Wisconsin and Milwaukee.
Knowledge of construction engineering and document control.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
WisDOT HTCP Certifications (Portland Cement Concrete Technician, Nuclear Density Technician).
OSHA 10- or 30-hour training.
Knowledge of Bluebeam, MicroStation, Civil3D, or AutoCAD.
