We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in HVAC and plumbing system design, as well as facilities condition assessments, to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering principles, focusing on designing and assessing HVAC and plumbing systems in various facilities. Experience conducting comprehensive facilities condition assessments for government and military buildings is also required. Responsibilities

Design, analyze, and optimize HVAC systems for government, commercial, and industrial buildings, ensuring energy efficiency and compliance with relevant codes and standards. Develop detailed plans, specifications, and drawings for HVAC and plumbing systems, including ductwork, piping layouts, equipment selection, and sizing calculations. Conduct site visits to assess existing HVAC and plumbing systems, identify deficiencies, and propose cost-effective solutions for upgrades or replacements. Perform facilities condition assessments on government and military facilities, focusing on HVAC and plumbing systems. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into building designs and renovations. Utilize CAD software and simulation tools to model HVAC and plumbing systems. Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations, and project updates. Provide high-level cost estimates using industry-standard databases. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulations related to HVAC and plumbing. Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time. Qualifications

Required

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering At least 7 years in the consulting professional services industry within Mechanical Engineering Professional Engineer licensure Experience preparing HVAC and plumbing construction drawings, specifications, and review of submittals Experience performing facilities condition assessments for HVAC and plumbing systems Preferred

Knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, International Mechanical Code) Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and REVIT Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams Strong communication skills Experience with energy analysis and load calculation software (e.g., Trane Trace 700) Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance is a plus. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $145,000 per year, with potential for annual bonuses. } #J-18808-Ljbffr
