The Value Creation Team at Vista Equity Partners is seeking a highly motivated and analytically driven Consultant to join our Analytics function. This role plays a critical part in advancing data-driven decision making across Vista and its portfolio companies.
The Analytics team is responsible for the collection, reporting, and analysis of portfolio company data, working with a variety of stakeholders from across the Vista ecosystem to drive value creation through insight generation.
This role is based in Austin, TX and is for an immediate start.
Responsibilities
Build and support impactful analytics tools , including robust data models, automated workflows, and enterprise reporting solutions that enable data-driven decisions across Vista and its portfolio companies. Engage directly with internal teams and portfolio stakeholders , acting as a proactive, solutions-oriented partner in delivering analytics that drive business outcomes. Tackle ad hoc analysis with confidence , using a variety of data sources to answer business-critical questions with speed and precision. Promote innovation through generative AI and advanced analytics , uncovering new ways to accelerate insights and optimize operations. Contribute to a high-performing Analytics team , transforming data into a strategic growth lever and advancing operational excellence across Vista’s ecosystem. Qualifications
3-5 years of professional experience at a top-tier management consultancy, investment bank, or leading SaaS company (preferably in analytics, FP&A, or data strategy roles). Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate institution; preferred fields include Computer Science, Finance, Economics or other quantitative disciplines. Proven ability to distill complex data into strategic, high-impact insights that influence executive decision-making. Expertise in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and business case development. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Experience with BI and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Marketo) and financial planning platforms (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights) is a strong plus.
