The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pediatric Cardiology at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, in partnership with the Children’s Hospital of New Orleans (CHNOLA), is seeking a full-time academic Pediatric Cardiologist with expertise in advanced non-invasive cardiac imaging in CT and MRI technologies to join our faculty group. The Heart Center team includes 22 physicians specializing in non-invasive imaging, electrophysiology, cardiac intervention, adult congenital heart disease, pediatric coronary artery disease, heart failure, and cardiac transplantation, pulmonary hypertension, and fetal cardiology. The team comprises three cardiac surgeons and five cardiac intensivists. Based at CHNOLA, the Heart Center includes faculty from Tulane and LSU Health Sciences Center. The selected candidate must demonstrate excellence in advanced non-invasive imaging involving CT, MRI, and echocardiography and will be involved in developing and leading a comprehensive cardiac CT and MRI program at CHNOLA. The Department of Pediatrics at Tulane is committed to excellence in education, clinical care, and research. The candidate will participate actively in teaching medical students and residents. CHNOLA is Louisiana's only tertiary, free-standing Children’s Hospital, offering advanced pediatric care to children from birth to 21 years. It is a 224-bed, not-for-profit regional medical center with over 400 physicians across more than 40 subspecialties. Recently, the hospital completed a $300 million revitalization, including a new 37-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and two cardiac catheterization labs. This faculty position offers a negotiable salary based on experience, a comprehensive benefits package, and a relocation allowance.
