Responsibilities
Design and innovate new packaging solutions while optimizing existing designs for cost efficiency and enhanced performance.
Create prototypes and conduct small production runs using CAD technology, ensuring specifications are documented and communicated effectively.
Improve current packaging through inventive methods by visiting customer sites and conducting thorough packaging assessments.
Collaborate with tooling suppliers to guarantee high-quality production and operational efficiency.
Occasional travel with sales teams to customer locations to support needs and inquiries.
Foster strong internal relationships to facilitate prompt and accurate responses for customers, sales personnel, and operations teams.
Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Packaging, Mechanical Design, Architectural Design, or Prototype & Design, with experience in a CAD-related role. Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, CAD software, Artios CAD, Cape Pack, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or TOPPS, along with a strong understanding of CAD tables. Knowledge of various paperboard materials, board grades, corrugation, and printing processes. Experience in operating sample cutting tables. Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities. Proven ability to visualize ideas in 3D. Detail-oriented with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
