Requirements Are you experienced in Critical Infrastructure Commissioning and seeking a fast-paced environment? As a Data Center Retro Commissioning Engineer (CxE), you will be part of a creative, efficient team tackling challenging problems upgrading and supporting Amazon data centers. The Amazon Commissioning team (ACx) manages construction quality expectations to meet customer requirements. The CxE supports vendors, contractors, and teams involved in commissioning systems such as: Medium and low voltage power systems Generators UPS HVAC (Air Handlers / Exhaust Fans / VFD) Chilled Water Systems Building Management Systems (BMS) Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) Testing and balancing Pumps and Hydronic systems Key responsibilities include providing testing and validation oversight of AWS data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure, reviewing design documents, leading Factory Witness Testing (FWT), managing third-party vendors, resolving technical issues, and reporting progress. You will lead multiple projects to achieve milestones and manage budgets. About The Team AWS is the world’s most comprehensive cloud platform. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of experience in engineering, installation, or commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience High technical competency in mechanical, electrical, or control systems Ability to review and provide feedback on design documentation and commissioning plans Preferred Qualifications Effective communication, organization, and ability to work under stress Advanced knowledge of critical infrastructure systems Experience with construction documents and testing procedures Alignment with Amazon’s leadership principles and technical complexity Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.
