Position Overview This position reports to:
Global Sales Manager
As a Construction Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for selling ABB's Electrification products in the Columbus, OH, and surrounding areas, aligning with division strategy. Your daily activities will include achieving sales targets, developing new sales opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
This is a remote position; candidates should be located in Ohio or Indiana. This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Sell products/systems/services, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets.
Build and maintain effective customer relationships to understand needs and promote solutions.
Create value for customers and ABB, ensuring successful transactions using effective sales techniques.
Communicate details in line with ABB's offerings and strategies, including delivery, payments, and terms.
Prepare offers in coordination with the bid/proposal department and Marketing Manager, ensuring technical and financial accuracy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of sales experience in large commercial construction and industrial projects, preferably electrical products.
Experience with electrical contractors and channel partners.
Knowledge of the electrical industry and ABB products preferred.
Proficiency with sales tools; Salesforce experience preferred.
Six Sigma or equivalent quality training is a plus.
Understanding of full product portfolio, including power distribution and installation products, preferred.
