Description Specialization: Anesthesiology Cardiac Job Summary: HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking a Board Certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join the growing cardiac program at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. Cardiac Fellowship preferred with TEE certification. Opportunity Highlights/Qualified Candidates: Staffing model of 11 Anesthesiologists (8 Cardiac and 3 General) and 25 CRNAs covering 12 ORs plus EP Lab, Cath Lab, and Endo. Average surgical volume of 9,000 annually. Diverse case mix including Liver Transplant (separate team of 4 Physicians), Cardiac, heavy Orthopedics, General Surgery, Endoscopy, Neuro, Spine, Vascular, Robotics, etc. No Peds. No OB. No Trauma. Average cardiac volume of 300 hearts annually. Average work week is 45-50 hours. Cardiac backup call – 10 calls per month from home, equally distributed among 3 team members. Cardiac/Liver transplant team covers nights in-house. Incentives/Benefits Package: Robust compensation package includes stipend for Cardiac Fellowship trained or cardiac capable with TEE.
