Job Description:
The Day to Day:
Complete technical assignments of focused scope and increasing level of difficulty. Complete report writing under supervision of staff engineer. Act as a project resource, completing allocated activities to meet budget, timeframe, and quality objectives, and meeting or exceeding client expectations. Carry out investigations and analyses to support the development of technical solutions. Prepare documentation and reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with SSR requirements and relevant national standards and codes of practice. Contribute to the resolution of technical issues on projects and provide technical guidance to other team members. Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution. Review completed engineering work to ensure it meets specified standards. Further develop understanding of the services delivered by SSR and the industry sector to facilitate personal networking and to develop personal credibility in the industry. Assist in reviewing and analyzing environmental documentation issued by regulatory agencies and in evaluating proposed regulations to determine financial, industrial, public, and environmental impact. Prepare presentation materials for safety orientation and induction courses. Provide support to field data collection. Contribute to environmental baseline studies and the preparation of permitting documents. Create and maintain a commitments register. Review the checklists of the technician team. Conduct basic risk analyses. Maintain biodiversity studies. Attend to incident investigations and conduct workplace inspections. For applicants residing in CO, the salary range for this role is from $90,000-$110,000.
