San Luis Obispo | Full-Time | On-Site | $60,000–$150,000/year (based on experience) About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced
Master Electrician
to lead our growing team and oversee
electrical projects
in a variety of settings. In this role, you will be responsible for
managing journeymen and apprentice electricians , collaborating with
contractors, business owners, and homeowners , and ensuring that
projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to code . You will also serve as the
primary contact
for all
lighting and electrical issues
on assigned projects and will manage
inventory, maintenance, and equipment . Key Responsibilities
Design electrical systems
in compliance with local, state, and national codes Install, maintain, and repair
electrical systems — including wiring, fixtures, transformers, and circuit breakers Identify and troubleshoot
complex electrical issues
using advanced testing devices Repair or replace
wiring, equipment, and fixtures as needed Supervise
journeyman and apprentice electricians Train
and develop junior electricians Ensure electrical work meets
safety standards
and monitor equipment safety Act as
primary contact
for lighting and electrical issues on assigned projects Manage
inventory, maintenance, and storage
of electrical equipment and lighting Coordinate
with other trades on large construction projects Build relationships
with general contractors, business owners, and homeowners to
drive new business opportunities Provide
exceptional customer service
and handle inquiries professionally Minimum of
8 years’ experience
as an electrician Journeyman license
held for at least
2 years
(preferred) High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience leading
project teams
and managing
junior electricians Strong knowledge of
NEC
and applicable local/state codes Proficient in using
hand tools ,
power tools , and
testing equipment Excellent
troubleshooting
and problem-solving skills Strong
communication
and
customer service
skills Ability to collaborate and
