Job Overview
Velocity Enterprises is seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Construction Project Manager to spearhead our growing commercial construction division. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of project delivery-from planning and budgeting to subcontractor management and on-site execution. You will have the autonomy to implement your vision while working closely with leadership to shape our commercial operations. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple commercial construction projects from inception to completion. Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and quality control to ensure projects meet time, cost, and performance targets. Source, vet, and manage subcontractors to maintain high standards of workmanship and reliability. Conduct takeoffs, interpret blueprints, and ensure accurate material procurement. Monitor project costs, identify savings opportunities, and implement value engineering strategies. Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and contractual obligations. Maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Utilize project management software to track progress, manage documentation, and report updates. Resolve project challenges quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal impact on schedules and budgets. Mentor and guide team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management. Proficient in reading plans, generating takeoffs, and using project management software. Strong background in value engineering and resource management. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Proven ability to solve problems and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Experience sourcing and managing subcontractors. Highly self-motivated and eager to grow with the company.
