Summary

Project Manager III or IV | Power Generation | Construction

utility-scale natural gas power plant and/or renewable energy experience . The role has oversight for large-scale projects that have significant and broad financial and/or operational impact across one or more business units or enterprise-wide. What your day would be like: You are responsible for: Experience with siting, land acquisition, permitting, regulatory, environmental permitting and planning large projects. Manage and oversee the management of multi-year projects or projects with highly compressed schedules. Lead large, cross-functional, multi-disciplinary project teams which may include other Project Managers. Stakeholders may include PNW Board of Directors, external agencies and public officials. Project budgets are typically between $10MM to $50MM Projects involve significant financial/operational risk and/or innovative or industry changing technology and are identified as high/extreme complexity as defined within the APS Project Complexity guidelines. Communicates status updates and results to senior executives, enterprise-wide stakeholders and, at times, PNW Board of Directors and external stakeholders. Minimum Requirements

Project Manager III | Power Generation | Construction Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field

OR

an equivalent combination of college coursework and experience as a Project Manager or related responsibilities defining and/or managing project scopes, timelines, budgets AND

delivery equaling four (4) years AND

eight (8) years related project management experience. Project Management Professional (PMP)

certification required (any exception requires Project Management peer group approval and the employee must acquire PMP certification within 12 months of hire). Project Manager IV | Power Generation | Construction Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field

OR

an equivalent combination of college coursework and experience as a Project Manager or related responsibilities defining and/or managing project scopes, timelines, budgets AND

delivery equaling four (4) years AND

twelve (12) years related project management experience. PMP certification required. Experience managing large, complex, high impact projects. Extensive understanding of project management processes, principles and methodologies. Advanced functional/technical knowledge of the business units line of business, practices, and procedures may be preferred or required. Strong critical thinking and creativity skills along with the ability to exercise sound judgment by making decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. Able to understand needs and values of stakeholders and team members and apply that understanding to motivate behaviors and results. Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with all levels of personnel and other departments. Experience in directing multi-discipline teams. Demonstrated leadership, project management and organizational skills. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and people management skills. Adapts to changing environment, shifting priorities and uncertainty. Major Accountabilities

1) Plans and successfully executes large, cross-functional, multi-disciplinary, high-impact projects. Develops comprehensive execution plans in accordance with internal process methodologies. 2) Presents comprehensive project plan to project sponsors and management. Obtains all necessary stakeholder support and sponsor and executive approvals. 3) Oversees and leads project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, people management, vendor relationships and troubleshooting. Performs high-level negotiation with internal/external stakeholders and consultants throughout all aspects/phases of project. 4) Ensures schedules, budgets and resources are managed effectively. 5) Provides ongoing project updates to project teams, business management, project sponsors, executive leadership, board of directors, and external constituents including regulatory agencies, customers and public officials. 6) Ensures project deliverables and overall results meet or exceed sponsor and stakeholder expectations. Home based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from his/her home. *Employees in Flex roles are required to reside in Arizona (or NM for Four Corners-based employees).
