Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: This role requires reporting to the Milford Proving Grounds or Warren Technical Center at least three times per week, or as dictated by the business. The Role:
We are seeking experienced and motivated candidates for the position of Senior Software Engineer Platform Cloud Infrastructure, within the Virtualization Platform & Automation team in Software & Services. Our team focuses on creating and automating cloud platforms for automated software builds and headless testing within a CI/CD framework. Responsibilities: Own and innovate multiple cloud platforms, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity, vulnerability, and infrastructure standards in collaboration with GM IT Operations and Infrastructure teams. Lead cross-functional teams to define and document requirements for scalable and stable virtualization platform capabilities within CI/CD frameworks. Collaborate with suppliers and internal partners during development and maintenance of the platforms. Develop automation methods for platform maintenance. Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure and virtualization, providing updates and demonstrations to leadership and external organizations. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in engineering or computer science. 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining cloud applications. Expertise in programming languages (C, C++, Python, Java, Quarkus, SystemC). Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of GM cybersecurity standards. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation using Jenkins and GitHub Actions. Strong leadership and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Masters or PhD in relevant fields. 8+ years of experience in cloud application development. Familiarity with GM in-house test automation tools and automotive communication protocols. Benefits:
