This position is responsible for managing the Company's federal, state, and local income tax compliance and tax accounting processes. These responsibilities include evaluating changes to income tax laws and regulations across the U.S., states, and localities, assessing their impacts, and updating processes accordingly. The role also involves managing compliance with state franchise tax and federal excise taxes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Manage quarterly and annual tax provisions per ASC 740, evaluate FIN 48 positions, and oversee SOX procedures. Ensure accurate and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, estimates, and extensions. Lead tax forecasting and planning, communicating updates with Finance. Consult on tax impacts of business decisions, ensuring compliance. Manage audits and inquiries from tax authorities. Oversee relationships with tax consultants and review their deliverables. Identify opportunities for tax strategies to reduce effective tax rate and cash taxes. Review transfer pricing policies and update legal entity reporting. Lead, mentor, and develop the income tax team. Required Qualifications Minimum of 8 years in direct tax experience in a public accounting or corporate environment, specifically in multi-state income taxation. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; Master’s preferred. CPA or comparable certification preferred. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Proficiency with income tax compliance software (e.g., OneSource RS, OTP). Knowledge of international tax is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power BI. Experience with Alteryx or Knime is desirable. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Working Conditions Standard office environment. Physical Requirements Sitting, standing (not walking), lifting up to 10 pounds.
