STV . STV’s Austin, TX location is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer for our Water Practice Group. You’ll contribute to Water and Wastewater (W/WW) project development and execution of varying sizes as part of a growing office. As a Water/Wastewater Engineer, you’ll perform project design engineering, staff oversight, quality control, project management, client development, proposal preparation, and sales pursuits for W/WW pipeline and conveyance projects in Texas. A strong understanding of water hydraulics, pipeline mechanics, materials, operation and control, and installation methods is essential. You’ll handle all aspects of pipeline engineering and work under the supervision of the Austin Water Group Manager. Familiarity with modeling tools such as InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, WaterGems, or WaterCAD is a plus. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in client contact and communication regarding projects and develop probable construction cost estimates. Attend client meetings, including evenings or weekends. Analyze design criteria, maps, drawings, tests, and topographical data to plan and design projects. Prepare design computations and quantity estimates. Create or modify reports, specifications, plans, schedules, permits, and designs. Instruct draftsmen/technicians to develop designs into contract drawings. Perform CAD drafting as needed. Monitor construction progress onsite and serve as the project representative. Use engineering software to prepare design documents. Ensure quality system tasks are completed as per the project manual. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or related field. EIT certification; PE preferred. At least 5 years of experience with water and sewer pipelines (less than 24” and up to 108”). Ability to interpret technical documents and regulations, and communicate effectively. Experience with pipeline hydraulics and modeling software such as InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, WaterGems, or WaterCAD. Experience in W/WW infrastructure design, planning, and construction. Experience working with municipalities and utility companies. Strong leadership, communication, planning, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with scheduling, spreadsheets, documents, and databases. Compensation Range
