Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer - Carpentersville, IL
A leading vertically integrated manufacturer of electro-mechanical devices with state of the art manufacturing facilities, machines, and capabilities is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer to ensure the highest product quality for a variety of customers in the military, electronics, industrial machinery, automotive, medical, aerospace markets. This role will have responsibilities for writing test plans, working with customers/suppliers, quality auditing and internal manufacturing engineering. Processes include injection molding, machining, stamping, grinding, PCBA assemblies in an engineered to order environment.
Compensation : $100,000 - $120,000 Base Salary + Bonus.
Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k match, STD, LTD, FSA, LFSA, and HSA,10 paid holidays and 15 days PTO.
Job Description
Key member of the review for design, manufacturing, procurement, and test documentation to ensure quality reliability and regulatory requirements are fulfilled. This includes but not limited to: review of product drawings and specifications, operation instructions and sheets, process procedures, test procedures, inspection and test analysis.
Plan activities, create and publish reports for overall defect and cost reduction programs.
Analyze and investigate the root cause of external and internal non-conforming product, system deficiencies. Initiate and coordinate corrective and preventative actions and verification of effectiveness such as actions for customer complaints, internal audits, and internal and external supplier non-conformances.
Provide departmental representation in new project design teams – providing leadership in advanced quality planning (FMEA’s, Control Plans, Capability Studies, Measuring and Test Equipment Studies, (GR&R) Product Validation and Reliability Test), FAI.
ISO 9001 + AS9100 internal audits.
Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Statistical Process Control (SPC) development for process improvements.
Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
Advanced Quality Planning.
Material Review Board (MRB) – develop and process Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) and performing part analysis as directed by MRB members.
Change Control Board (CCB)
