PEDIATRIC BEHAVIORAL SLEEP MEDICINE FACULTY OPPORTUNITY MEDICAL COLLEGE OF WISCONSIN AND CHILDREN’S WISCONSIN MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN The Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine division at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a full-time pediatric sleep medicine faculty candidate with a focus in behavioral sleep medicine to join our growing Pediatric Sleep Medicine Program.

The Children's Wisconsin Sleep Center is the only sleep center in Wisconsin dedicated solely to the care of children. The sleep center encompasses an interdisciplinary team including board-certified sleep physicians, pulmonologists, neurologists, otolaryngologists, psychologists, and advanced practice providers. Sleep Center | Children's Wisconsin : The Children’s Wisconsin Sleep Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and includes robust ambulatory sleep clinics and a state-of-the-art 12-bed sleep lab. The sleep clinics see children & adolescents with diagnoses that include NREM parasomnias, restless leg syndrome/periodic limb movement disorder, narcolepsy, and obstructive sleep apnea. In addition, a significant proportion of children have either behavioral insomnia of childhood, chronic insomnia, or insomnia complicating a co-morbid developmental or psychiatric disorder. There is an active CPAP program that follows over 300 patients with obstructive sleep apnea who are home on CPAP. Expertise in the principle & practice of CPAP desensitization is a plus. Primary clinical responsibilities for the sleep faculty include outpatient sleep clinics & interpretation of sleep studies. The faculty would have the opportunity to lead in the development of our behavioral sleep medicine program. Clinical research opportunities are available within the division, as well as collaborations within the medical college. Faculty are active participants in the training of students, residents, & fellows, including our ACGME-accredited sleep medicine fellowship.
