HVAC & Plumbing Engineer
to support the design and engineering of mechanical systems in critical infrastructure facilities. This role involves both design and technical studies across projects in energy, water treatment, and industrial sectors. Responsibilities:
Design HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of facility types, including: Power generation buildings
Substations
Energy storage facilities
Water treatment plants
Administrative, lab, and maintenance buildings
Conduct HVAC system sizing, equipment selection, and performance analysis
Review codes and standards to ensure compliance with ICC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and other applicable regulations
Develop system layouts using Revit and Bluebeam
Support construction activities, bid reviews, and submittal evaluations
Perform energy modeling and participate in LEED/sustainability efforts
Contribute to engineering studies including energy audits and system optimization
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
7+ years of experience in HVAC and plumbing system design
Proficient in Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
Working knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, ICC codes, and NFPA standards
LEED AP certification preferred (especially with experience certifying industrial buildings)
Familiarity with large-scale chilled water systems (water-cooled chillers is a plus)
Strong communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills
PE license or active pursuit
