Role: Product Owner (Capital Market/ Investment Banking)

Locations: Whippany, NJ (Hybrid Onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Note: Candidate needs to be in the office 3 Days every week. Local candidates only.

Job Description:

This role ensures that the product meets regulatory requirements, industry standards, and client expectations by collaborating with internal stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams. Product Strategy & Vision: Define and communicate the strategic vision and roadmap. Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify customer challenges, emerging risks, and competitive positioning in the financial market space. Backlog Management & Prioritization: Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring feature development aligns with client priorities and business objectives. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between customers, development teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, validate use cases, and ensure seamless product delivery. Feature Definition & Development: Work with development teams to define clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications for new product enhancements and integrations. Performance Monitoring: Define and track product KPIs to measure effectiveness, adoption, and compliance accuracy. Use data-driven insights to drive product improvements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, and professional services teams to ensure successful go-to-market strategies and customer onboarding.

Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor s degree in business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. A master s degree is a plus. Experience: 6+ years of product management experience in financial institutions and SAFe Agile. SAFe Agile certification is highly desired. Solid experience working in Capital Market/ Investment Banking domain. Proven experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe). Expertise in writing user stories, backlog grooming, and sprint planning. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey product vision, requirements, and strategic roadmaps. Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external customers, including financial institutions, regulators, and compliance officers.
