To build and operate a profitable Water / Wastewater practice within the Water Resources department of McAdams. This role involves developing a team to execute water and wastewater projects, including technical design, financial management, obtaining necessary approvals, and overseeing construction, while exceeding client expectations. The position also includes developing this practice area across all McAdams metro locations. Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Talent acquisition, development, and retention; project delivery; business development; financial performance; and alignment with McAdams' goals and values. Lead a production team, manage resources, resolve complex technical issues, coach, train, and mentor design professionals, and collaborate on project execution. Coordinate resource scheduling to effectively manage workloads and deadlines. Establish and promote quality standards for all projects and work performed by the team. Develop proposals and contracts that ensure scope adequacy, profitability, and realistic schedules. Understand client business initiatives to identify and promote new opportunities and cross-sell services. Develop short-term and long-term strategic plans for the Water / Wastewater practice area. Ensure the profitable operation of the Water / Wastewater Practice within Water Resources. Represent McAdams at industry events, professional organizations, and conferences, aiming to establish thought leadership. Qualifications

B.S. in engineering from an accredited four-year college. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. 10+ years of related experience and/or training. Motivated to develop a Water / Wastewater practice. Technical expertise in civil engineering related to water and wastewater projects. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage projects independently and within teams. Ability to manage and grow key relationships independently. Knowledge of budget impacts, profit, and revenue expectations. Strategic thinking skills for planning growth initiatives. Valuable community relationships for practice development. Preferences
