Cost Accounting Manager

at our Stockton Facility. This role involves forecasting, collecting, and analyzing financial data related to Revenue, Direct Margin, and Inventory. Cost Accounting Manager Roles and Responsibilities: Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting for Accounting, Sales, and Production, including program and product profitability. Prepare periodic cost reconciliation reports, monitoring data such as labor and supply costs. Manage inventory valuation and maintain reconciliations. Evaluate inventory transactions like receiving, storage, and shipping to ensure integrity. Participate in the ongoing 24-month SIOP reporting process. Analyze past financial performance to forecast future outcomes and advise on financial strategies. Offer creative solutions to reduce costs and enhance financial performance. Develop and summarize data for sophisticated financial reports highlighting status and risks. Create financial models, conduct benchmarking, and analyze processes. Perform business studies on performance and develop forecast models. Identify trends, recommend actions, and advise senior management based on analysis. Compare actual results with forecasts to determine financial status. Collaborate weekly with the Purchasing team on inventory purchases. Work with Planning for Military and Customer Service for Commercial revenue forecasting. Interpret customer requirements into feasible options and communicate with stakeholders. Drive process improvements and policy development impacting the finance function. Maintain expertise in inventory systems to ensure accuracy. Support pricing and proposals by providing historical costing data. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 5 years of experience. Experience in cost accounting or program finance analysis. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles. Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software. Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills. Advanced Excel skills. Exceptional presentation, reporting, and communication skills. Ability to interpret blueprints and welding specifications. Preferred Qualifications: 6-10 years of related experience. Experience in manufacturing environments. Knowledge of SQL or Power BI. Understanding of FAR, CAS, and DFARS regulations. Aerospace & Defense industry experience. Experience with government accounting and project estimates. Salary Range:

$90,000-$135,000 annually. Actual offers depend on experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
