Position Overview: Commercial Sales Manager The role involves executing Rinnai’s commercial strategy across the Northeast region, including Baltimore, Wilmington, Philadelphia, Newark, and surrounding areas. The manager will work with regional contractors, developers, architects, and engineers to surpass sales goals and increase market share. Coordination with Sales Engineers, TSMs, and the Corporate Accounts team is essential to maximize opportunities. Compensation & Benefits: Salary range: $120,000 - $156,000 annually plus a 20% bonus paid quarterly/annually. Key Responsibilities: Achieve or exceed sales targets within the assigned geographic area. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in commercial markets. Travel within the region to pursue sales opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to close leads and develop new business. Engage utility partners and lead the launch of new products. Lead promotional activities, customer events, and industry participation. Manage sales pipeline using Salesforce CRM, ensuring optimal funnel management. Train and educate customers and internal staff on commercial solutions. Provide market insights and support regional targets. Identify and develop local CSP accounts. Participate in industry events and contribute to brand promotion. Analyze sales reports and industry trends to meet sales objectives. Support project walkthroughs and customer training for light commercial systems. Address customer concerns and resolve product or service issues. Maintain detailed records of activities and market intelligence. Manage travel and expenses efficiently and complete required training and learning activities. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience demonstrating business acumen. At least 5 years of sales experience in the commercial or design segment. Excellent communication skills, including at C-suite level. Experience working in a matrixed support and sales environment. Knowledge of local building codes and product applications. Skills & Abilities: Consultative selling and problem-solving skills to develop prospects. Strong negotiation skills for positive stakeholder outcomes. Ability to manage workload and prioritize effectively within a team. Deep industry knowledge and technical understanding of light commercial systems. Relationship-building at all organizational levels. Leadership ability to align and motivate team members. Self-motivated, ethical, and action-oriented with a commitment to achievement. Strong business planning and technical presentation skills. Physical & Environmental Requirements: Occasional standing, sitting, moving, and operating vehicles or equipment. Ability to communicate effectively and handle physical demands of the role. No adverse environmental conditions expected.
