6 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System is seeking compassionate, mission-oriented primary care physicians to serve our veterans at the VA Loma Linda. The healthcare system provides primary care, behavioral health, telemedicine, preventive medicine, neurology, infectious disease, lab, and audiology services. Community-based outpatient clinics help veterans receive care close to home and improve access to health and wellness services. Duties include but are not limited to: Advising and supervising mid-level providers (nurse practitioners or physician assistants) Advising and supervising medical students and residents (interns, residents, and fellows) Participating in medical center committees and teams Engaging in programs to enhance patient care, such as CQI teams Identifying professional learning needs and participating in educational activities Providing quality, patient-centered care to adults and older adults (65+) Staying informed on disease management and treatment through CME Integrating care activities across services and community programs Diagnosing and treating seriously ill, multi-symptomatic patients Completing medical records promptly in CPRS Involving patients and families in care planning Assessing veterans with clinical judgment and physical exams Identifying health problems (acute, non-acute, chronic) Participating in grading sessions for trainees Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold a current, unrestricted medical license in the U.S. or D.C. Completed Internal Medicine Residency. Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Practice preferred, with at least 5 years primary care experience and a minimum of 3 years recent active practice, including women’s health.
