Summary
Responsible for the engineering of network infrastructure. Designs infrastructures including hardware, software, and various configurations. Ensures that the design and integration of proposed solutions lead to the development and growth of the business through effective use of technology. Facilitates the optimization of business unit performance by enhancing the alignment between business systems and information technology. Position Purpose:
We are looking for a
Senior Network Engineer
to join our
Network Core Team . In this position, you will be responsible for the engineering of network infrastructure, including designing hardware, software, and configurations. You will ensure that solutions promote business growth through technology, optimize performance, evaluate new products, resolve network issues, and develop technical standards. What You'll Do
Provide consultative direction for network planning, architecture design, and engineering. Assess feasibility from technical and economic perspectives. Analyze operational data and oversee testing for new designs or modifications. Plan and evaluate complex network systems, recommending resource requirements. Support design and resolve issues, monitor performance, and suggest future improvements. Implement and oversee network security measures to protect data and hardware. Plan for disaster recovery and mitigate potential attacks. Keep up-to-date with technological advancements. Research and recommend hardware and software, and advise on future system improvements. Lead and direct technical support teams. Collaborate with business leaders to gather needs and design solutions. Act as a subject matter expert. Maintain relationships with external vendors, oversee large projects, and coordinate hardware/software procurement. Qualifications
U.S. citizenship and required security clearance. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (associate's degree + 2 years + 10 years of experience, or 14 years total). 10+ years in network or related experience. Skills & Abilities
Deep knowledge of network systems and applications. Expertise in network planning, design, and optimization. Advanced knowledge of networking hardware, software, and emerging technologies. Leadership skills for project management and team guidance. Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications
Enterprise experience with Cisco Data Center Routing & Switching (including ACI). 12+ years in infrastructure/network environments. Certifications such as CCIE, CCNA, CCNP. Experience with Ansible, Palo Alto, and F5 is a plus. Benefits
