International Jet Aviation Services specializes in private charter services and aircraft management. We are the longest-running operator at KAPA, founded and operated by pilots. Many of our management team members continue to fly, so we understand what it's like to meet customer expectations on the frontline. We prioritize quality of life, and it is reflected in our schedules and benefits. Second in Command (SIC) to upgrade to Pilot in Command (PIC) – Learjet 60 International Jet is seeking qualified Second-in-Command candidates for our LR60 for Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. It is expected that the candidate lives, or is willing to relocate, within a 2-hour drive of the airport. We currently operate five Lear 60 aircraft, and our pilots operate within a pool, flying each of the aircraft on a set schedule. The flying is a mixture of Part 91 and Part 135 throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The ideal candidate will begin flying as an SIC with the expectation of upgrading to PIC once they are comfortable and qualified in the aircraft. We have training slots held at CAE for the PIC upgrade. Qualifications Ability to work well under pressure Knowledge of aviation regulations and safety procedures Experience in the private jet charter industry Requirements 350 hours MEL-PIC LR60 type rating is a bonus, but we will type a highly qualified candidate Commercial, MEL, Instrument rating ATP CTP must be complete, along with the ATP knowledge test First Class Medical Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing when required Unrestricted ability to travel to Mexico, Canada, and EU/Caribbean countries Ability to release and pass a FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot This is a non-commutable position. You must be KAPA-based and live or relocate within a maximum of 2 hours. Approximately 300-350 hours per year You have the option to fly on your days off for extra pay, but it is not required. Our top pilot, who often flies on his days off, logged 450 hours in 12 months. Compensation SIC - $50,000 PIC - $155,000 base salary, with the option to earn $200,000 and higher by working on off days. International Jet will provide an iPad, software, a company credit card, and KCM. Uniforms for charter are provided, and business casual is expected for Part 91 trips. Per diem is paid for all trips, and expenses, including hotels and ground transportation, are reimbursed within two weeks. We book our own travel and do not stay in questionable hotels. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 5% company match, paid time off, and life and short-term disability insurance. Schedule We typically schedule a 10-day on, 5-day off rotation, and occasionally make minor adjustments to accommodate charter and owner demand. If available, pilots are given the option to work on days off for bonus pay, but they are never required to do so. We don't compete with the fractionals on pay, but we surpass them in quality of life. You rarely fly to or from the aircraft, except on long trips when the aircraft will sit at outstations and we're not flying charter. Our goal is to accommodate life events and vacations with no questions asked. “On days” example: 7 am-5 pm on call. Owner trips are almost always known in advance, and very few charters will be same-day pop-ups. During an average 10-day work block, you will rarely work on all days. While we don't count the others as days off (they don't reduce your days off), they're your days to do as you wish, as long as you're ready to fly if a call comes in. Our in-house maintenance staff meticulously maintains our aircraft. Heavy maintenance is contracted out to facilities such as Duncan. International Jet has over 45 years of experience in the field of professionally managed aircraft. It is a family-like operation that prioritizes quality over quantity. Expect standardization and established procedures in the cockpit and operations, and we're always open to suggestions and improvement. A good candidate will have extensive experience in CRM and SOPs.
