Assistant/Associate/Professor - Farm Animal Medicine & Surgery - College of Veterinary Medicine
Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a faculty position in farm animal medicine & surgery. The appointment can be tenure-track or non-tenure-track. This is a full-time position, involving clinical duties, teaching, and research & scholarly activity. The successful candidate will be part of a 4-person team delivering the farm animal component of the DVM curriculum.
The university is a private, not-for-profit organization with campuses in Downers Grove, Illinois, and Glendale, Arizona. It offers various health sciences graduate programs and emphasizes interdisciplinary scholarly activity and personal growth. The veterinary medicine program on the Glendale campus is fully accredited and emphasizes principles of One Health.
The Animal Health Institute includes facilities such as the Large Animal Clinic (LAC), Necropsy and Pathology Center, and the Companion Animal Clinic. The LAC provides services for farm animals, including small ruminants, cattle, pet pigs, and camelids, with opportunities to work with poultry. The clinic is equipped with ultrasound, radiography, endoscopy, laser, and other diagnostic tools.
Qualifications Required:
DVM or equivalent degree
Evidence of excellent clinical skills
Strong commitment to student needs
Eligibility for veterinary licensure in Arizona
Diplomate status or eligibility for board certification by ACVIM, ACVS, ABVP, or ACT is preferred but not required.
