Job Overview

Syclone is dedicated to delivering exceptional IT support and services by combining technical expertise with a client-first approach. As an IT Field Service Technician, you will be the face of our technical support team, providing on-site and remote assistance to clients. You’ll install, configure, and maintain IT equipment such as desktops, laptops, printers, and networking devices. Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently while documenting service requests and resolutions are core aspects of the role.

Educational Background

Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred certifications:

CompTIA A+ – foundational IT support skills

CompTIA Network+ – network troubleshooting and configuration

CompTIA Security+ – basic cybersecurity knowledge

Experience

Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on experience in IT support or a closely related technical role.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support

Provide on-site and remote support for hardware, software, and network issues.

Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Document service requests and resolutions.

Client Engagement

Communicate effectively with clients to understand needs and provide solutions.

Ensure confidentiality and security of client data.

Educate clients on IT best practices.

Maintain professionalism and build strong client relationships.

Operational Support

Assist in maintaining inventory of IT equipment and supplies.

Support internal IT operations as needed.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift/move items up to 50 pounds.

Regular standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.

Occasional ladder use and work in varied environments.

Work Schedule Expectations

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Flexibility for early morning, evening, or weekend shifts.

Participation in on-call rotations and occasional overtime.

Travel Requirements

Travel to multiple job sites within service area.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
